Not too long ago, various adult actresses were styled to look like certain female celebrities, mostly pop stars, but this trend seems to have vanished.
I remember Marsha May looking an awful lot like Miley Cyrus. I think there was a website that was dedicated to this for a few months before they realised there wasn't a market for it.
It was a bit of a novelty but not sure if there were cease-and-desist letters for ruining a certain celebrity's image even with 'parody' slapped all over the scene/video.

Some have put in the time for deep fake technology to make out certain female celebrities somehow have sex tapes or have took part in porn which is ridiculous, and it seems a weird line to cross.

Not porn but some may remember the trend for 'women of the night' to look like certain film stars of the day in "LA Confidential" such as Veronica Lake so tbhis fetish isn't unusual.

Will celebrity lookalike porn ever make a comeback or has deep fake technology meant that some are creating their own albeit on the back of actual porn productions though?

It still exists. Natalie Porkman is obviously a parody of Natalie Portman. Plus, in the age of OnlyFans, and this forum, who cares about celebrities when there are plenty of other hot chicks to fap to.

Id say it really fell off since people found out how how to hack and find nudes and also people are very good at making fakes so there really isn't a need for it anymore technology has just outlived it
