I would like to hear an outsiders opinion on this, what graphics card should I buy? I have a pretty keen eye on the RTX 3070, as that's right around what I'm okay with spending.

I don't really know that much about the high-end AMD cards, any advice?

I feel like the RX 6800 XT is an insane gpu coming from AMD, I just can't find it anywhere rn.

rtx3070 is a solid choice but I'd wait wait a month or two so the prices get normal

The 3070 is a pretty decent card from what I have seen so far. But really any high end card from either Nvidia or AMD will be good. The nvidia cards are definitely better at ray tracing but if you don't care about that then either company is good. I do lean towards nvidia so I would say wait for a 3070. Just don't pay the scalpers more because you have to have something "right now!!!". Once supply gets better in the new year the 3070 will be a great card to get.
