Pornhub didn't do this suddenly because it somehow became more enlightened, or its stakeholders demanded it. No. They only did it because Mastercard & Visa threatened to stop processing payments to Pornhub.

MC & Visa went after Pornhub because its the most prolific streaming site. Attention will surely turn to the smaller streaming sites. Take it to its logical conclusion.. and you can see that its just a matter of time.

Valid points with regards to the payment processor threat. That is very likely what got pornhub to act no doubt.



You are still overlooking the fact that there are still lots of other payment mechanisms out here.

There are many substantially questionable material out here and they still get by.

This fucks over a lot of amateur uploaders who haven't gotten to be verified yet, but its these black and white sweeps that remove any illegal content. Its a hard choice to make, but I get it from their end.
