Both requires patience, skills, both can get on your nerves, even if their mechanics aren't really the same.

I'm not asking for a debate on which is the hardest, just which franchise of theses two you like the most.

I think the main Dark Souls games have the edge, but Monster Hunter has all those cool side games and clones. I’ve played some games that are MH inspired and they’re usually way better than Souls inspired. God Eater and MGS Peace Walker for example.

Lost Planet and Soul Sacrifice (not souls related) were good too, sadly forgotten now though.

Dark souls has intriguing lore, beautiful worlds, and a good premise, monster hunter is good for dumping hours into and grinding. Personally I’m a dark souls man but monster hunter is not a bad choice
