Which servers are the best to start playing on?

i mainly play solo but when i do play on another server i play on unofficial pc sessions since they seem to be most reliable as long as host keeps paying his bill every month to host company. I like to play without mods personally but i like to go 5x taming and gathering but i would suggest not using any cheats (solo) and finding 1-2 others to play with if your going to play online to make a tribe with

Never played it myself but I got it for free on Epic. Is there a steep learning curve?

Got it free on Epic as well. Have tried it a few times but have difficulty getting into it.
