Animes in the 80s and 90s have a higher degree of nudity (female nipples showing, little boy kid's part showing). Nowadays the parts are obscured more often that not. Could someone smart explain to me the shift?

little kids don't count as indecent and most of the females are teenagers. Japans Penal code about indecent images is the whole reason lolita even came into being, hence why they never have pubic hair. Which is also another reason home releases are different from what is aired on television.

As to why? I mean nobody would have blinked an eye at a 16 year old with 3+ children at one point in time. Times change.
