When it comes to 2D games, do you prefer top down or side scrolling games and why?

You may consider exploration, the ascetic, combat etc.

Side scrollers give me headaches for some reason, so I prefer top down.

i prefer top-down too. unless you're playing the top few games like momodora, hollow knight, etc., there's not much reason to play them at all.

For me, top-down moving view makes me dizzy. I prefer scrolling horizontally better.
