One Piece is very good. The length is definitely off-putting, but if you pace yourself you are in for a real adventure. The first couple of arcs are slow due to character introductions, but it really picks up quick after that.

It really is so good. Each individual arc is strong. And then post time skip every arc flows seamlessly into the next
